I mainly do building soil tests fror houses, pools, factories etc, based on AS2870.

I have over 35 years in this type of work and started my company in 1996.
I use a manual hand auger, crowbar, shovel and pincers. I only require foot access. There is no machinery.
I email the report with the invoice. The invoice has the company bank details for you to pay into. I leave that account empty. I provide reports for all my work.
Travel past Melbourne’s outer suburbs such as Werribee, Sunbury, Craigieburn, Healesville, Warburton, Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston is about $1.5/km to the site.
My minimum fees include gst. I charge at least $450 to do work requiring a site visit. Building soil test 2 (or 1 if enough) bores $450. Extra bore or footing probe is $100 each. LCA or EMO are $1000 each. BAL , wind rating, soil pollution taken to Eurofins (you pay Eurofins directly), percolation test, spot levels are $200 each as an extra, $450 for the first.
